One of the steps to sustainability is to “use every part”. Using what would be considered “waste” in a different system, as a productive part of my system.

These earrings are a wonderful way to honor the chickens that already do so much around here, producing eggs and meat, providing endless entertainment and serotonin boosts, eating bugs, making fertilizer and helping maintain a balanced ecosystem. 

Mixed metals with warm grey and golden rust feathers. Stainless steel earring hooks. Dangling at the bottom is a Job’s Tear seed. Grown in my garden, these seeds form a perfect hole through the middle. Eleven and a half inches long.
