Usnea is often referred to as “the lungs of the forest”, so it’s no surprise that it has amazing benefits for the human respiratory system. It’s also a profound infection fighter. It is great for immune system support, while still being gentle on the body.

Great for respiratory issues. Heals the lungs, boosts the immune system. Breaks up phlem.  Reduces pain. Soothes sore throats. Reduces fevers, banishes colds and viruses.

Usnea grows all over the trees in my forest, and I harvest it in the wintertime, sustainably, when the wind and rain knock it down from the trees. Last winter we limbed a tree in the front yard so the sun could shine more light onto the solar panels. This batch was harvested from those dropped limbs.

Ingredients in Usnea Elixir:

🌱 Duel extraction Usnea tincture made with high grade neutral cane spirits (from Organic Alcohol Company) and pure mountain spring water (from the Homestead).

🍋 Meyer Lemon Glycerite 

🍁 Small batch maple syrup

🐝 Raw local honey (from Andy’s Apiary)

🌱 Rosemary essential oil 

🌱 Thyme essential oil
